Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao made it clear that barring merger of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) with the government, all other demands of the RTC employees would be examined.

In a statement released by the CM’s office a six-member committee of TSRTC officials was set up to examine their demands. The Regional Transport Corporation (RTC) Managing Director has appointed a committee comprising Executive Directors (EDs) of the Corporation to examine the demands. The committee of EDs would submit its report to the RTC in one or two days.

The panel will submit a report to the government in a day or two and based on the report to be given by the committee, the government will submit a report to the Telangana High Court, which had directed the Government to hold talks with the employees' unions and settle their disputes before October 28.

On Tuesday, the KCR met Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and senior transport department officials, and decided to examine other demands of the TSRTC employees.

According to a statement from Chief Minister's Office on Tuesday night, it is said that the unions have voluntarily withdrawn their demand for merger of the TSRTC with the state government and stated the same in the High Court as well.
