Congress Releases People’s Manifesto For Telangana Elections

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC ) released a comprehensive 112-page manifesto covering 35 core issues pertaining to all sections of the State. TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, party Telangana affairs In-charge RC Khuntia, senior leader Jairam Ramesh and other important leaders released the manifesto here in Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.

Promising to lift the cases filed during Telangana agitation and to build a memorial for Telangana martyrs in every district headquarters, the Congress included good governance, development of farmers, students and health sectors in the document. It also mentioned safeguarding the Osmania General Hospital, which was inherited from the Nizam.

Addressing media on the occasion, Khuntia said the Congress would implement the people's manifesto after being voted to power. He said KCR's addition of Rs 16 to the Congress's promise of providing pensions and unemployment allowance was hilarious.

Yearly Improvement Report On Manifesto Implementation: Uttam

Uttam Kumar Reddy explained that the Congress government would scrap the failed schemes introduced by the TRS and continue the good ones. We will provide an improvement report on the implementation of manifesto every year after coming to power, he added.
