Yellareddy, Tough To Predict
Yellareddy assembly constituency is a part of Nizamabad district, Telangana and is one of 9 constituencies in Nizamabad district. It falls under Zahirabad Lok Sabha constituency. Enugu Ravinder Reddy of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) represented the constituency in the recently dissolved House. Prior to 2014 when Ravindra Reddy led TRS to victory in Yellareddy, riding the TRS wave, it was a bastion of the Telugu Desam Party and their candidate Anjaneyulu Nerella, who represented the constituency thrice.
TRS is employing all its efforts to retain Yellareddy, KTR paid a visit to the constituency and rejuvenated the spirits of the cadre in the party. KCR has also conducted a public meeting in the constituency. The TRS candidate Ravinder Reddy was earlier caught on video discussing monetary benefits with the Self help groups, if they vote to TRS. However, in the end, Enugu Ravinder Reddy may stay as the representative from Yellareddy. as things appear.
But with rebel candidates being pacified by the party high command and persuaded to step down, Yellareddy has become a tough one to predict. The local Congress unit is upbeat with the involvement of senior leaders in trying to quell dissent.
