Congress, TRS Heave A Sigh Of Relief As Rebel Candidates Withdraw Nominations

Hyderabad: November 22 was a field day for the Returning officers, with many of the rebel leaders of both the TRS and Congress parties withdrawing their nominations. The TRS and Congress had to go through a 48-hour ordeal and huge effort to pacify them with special roles and meaty packages which finally led to them withdrawing their nominations.

Korukanti Chander of Ramagundam, Gandra Sathyanarayana of Bhupalapalle, Thokala Srinivasa Reddy of Rajendra nagar, Gajjela Nagesh from cantonement , G Vinod of Bellampalli and Manne Goverdhan Reddy have gone ahead are filing under the All India Forward Block and the Bahujan Samaj Party . Congress : The Congress deputed several AICC leaders and TJS chief Kodandaram to convince the rebels to withdraw their nominations.

Serilingampally Assembly constituency the former MLA Bhikshapathi Yadav has withdrawn his nomination.

In Secunderabad, former mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, Palle Laxman Rao and Adam Umadevi have withdrawn their nominations.

LB Nagar - Sama Ranga Reddy

As part of the Grand Alliance Congress has 99 seats, TDP has 13 seats, TJS has 8 seats and CPI has 3 seats who will be fighting in the upcoming elections on December 7.
