Hyderabad: Founder of Telugu Desam Party ,N T Rama Rao's grand-daughter Nandamuri Suhasini, who is contesting from Kukatpally constituency for the December 7 Assembly elections in Telangana declared her assets in an election affidavit on Monday. She has declared 2.22 kg of gold and precious stones worth Rs 30 lakh. She also declared Rs 10.53 lakh as income during the last fiscal year and her family has immovable assets worth Rs 5.83 crore with a liability of Rs 1.46 crore.

Her rival Madhavaram Krishna Rao of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) declared Rs 3.40 lakh as income during the last fiscal. He owns Rs 50 lakh worth of moveable properties and about Rs 2 crore worth of immovable assets with Rs 7.14 lakh as liabilities. (PTI)

Chundru Suhasini, is a law graduate from the Pendekanti College of Law , Hyderabad and daughter of former Rajya Sabha MP Hari Krishna who died in a car crash in August.She is married to Ch Srikanth, who is the son of former TDP MP Chundru Srihari.

Her father in law a TDP MP Chundru Srihari is a Businessman and Industrialist . A Trustee of the Sri Srinivasa Charitable Trust , Chundru Srihari has also held various positions as the Managing Director, Sri K.V.R. Forgins Private Limited, Kakinada; Director, Ramadas Motor Transport Limited (SRMT) ; Managing Partner, Sri Padmalaya Finance Corporation and Sri Padma Industries, Kakinada; sole Proprietor of. Sri Hari Agencies, Ramachandrapuram. He was also into the automobile field and connected with various organisations like Sri Gopal Auto Service, Sri Aruna Auto Service Private Limited, Kakinada, etc. in the Godavari region.

Chundru Srihari was a TDP MP from 1984-89 .He later joined the BJP in 1998, where he was a member of the BJP State Executive committee .

During the AP state Bifurcation period , he founded the Jai Samaikyandhra Party in 2014 which was a slogan for opposing the bifurcation of the state.

Kiran Reddy, who resigned as chief minister and quit the Congress took over the party as the president of the new party ,with Chundru Srihari as the founder president of the party as he had registered it with the state election commission. After losing the 2014 elections the party disbanded and Chundru Srihari has retired from active politics.

Cashing in on the Nandamuri name she has changed her name as Nandamuri Suhasini and filed nominations as a TDP candidate from Kukatpally and has started a door-to door campaign from there. Her initial start with press started on shaky note and her oratory skills were not that impressive either . With a huge legacy behind her she is under quite a pressure to keep the reputation. Considering that a good sixteen days are left, there are chances of a win . The probability of the huge settlers' population in Kukatpally and especially when her uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna and her two brothers Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Jr NTR, who are going to add to the star factor and pull crowds during the campaign trail, we need to see how she pulls it off.
