Jadcherla Assembly constituency in Mahbubnagar district comes under the Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha seat. In 2014, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi heavyweight and health minister Laxma Reddy, won the seat defeating his powerful Congress rival, Dr. Mallu Ravi by close to 5,000 votes. The big question now is, with a sizeable TDP voter base, will Jadcherla trip up the TRS? One analyst jocularly referred to the TDP influence as being determined by "underground activists" who have been there for a long time in the region.

There are approximately 2 lakh voters in the constituency and the TRS does wield a lot of influence across most segments. Dr. Mallu Ravi of the Congress, who in all likelihood will get the ticket, is a formidable rival and belongs to the SC community.

Alampur assembly constituency

Alampur Assembly constituency is in Jogulamba Gadwal district and falls under the Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha seat. An SC constituency, it was won by Sampath Kumar of the Congress in 2014. Interestingly, he defeated V.M. Abraham of the TDP by 6,730 votes in 2014. Abraham later joined the TRS and will take on his powerful Congress rival. It remains to be seen whether the Mahakutami will play a spoiler for the TRS here.

Alampur is a famous temple town and is the place where the major rivers the Tungabhadra and Krishna converge. It is also home to the celebrated Jogulamba temple.

It has an electorate of over 2 lakh voters.
