Medak: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana unit President Dr K Lakshman said that people of the State would not believe in Congress party President Rahul Gandhi no matter what, given the Congress's 60 years of corrupt rule at the Centre. Addressing a gathering at Narsapur in the district, he said that the Congress party had been reduced to ruling just two States in the country. He added that the Congress would lose deposits in the upcoming elections.

Dr Lakshman said that all the corrupt opposition parties from across the country are now being forced to unite to tackle the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rule. The Congress party had ignored the interests of the Backward Classes (BCs), but PM Modi laid out a strong foundation for the development of BCs by providing statutory status to the National Commission for Backward Classes, he added.

People of Telangana are ready to punish the corrupt Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the upcoming elections, he said. Dr Lakshman announced that the party would organize 'BJP For Change' special program on August 17.
