Telangana activists disrupt Babu meeting in Koilakunta

Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu  had to  face the wrath of Telangana activists on Wednesday at Koilakuntla in Palamuru mandal of Mahabubnagar district.

A large group of pro-Telangana activists raised slogans against Chandrababu  and disrupted the meeting  when he was addressing the gathering here.

The activist demanded that the TDP chief make his stand clear on the separate statehood issue.   Though the police tried to pacify them, they did not relent and continued their protest.

When the protestors tried to surround Chandrababu, TDP MLA Dayakar Reddy who was present there attacked them. There was a tussle between the two groups and in the melee a Telangana activist sustained minor injuries. Angered over this, the activists indulged in stone throwing.

Sakshi TV camera person covering the event was also injured in the stone pelting.

Earlier, Chandrababu Naidu was greeted by black flags while touring the  Devarakadra constituency last week. The pro-Telangana activists demanded that Babu clearly spell out his stance on Telangana and raised slogans of 'Chandrababu go back'.
