Sowmya takes oath as MLA

TDP's Tangirala Sowmya, who won in the bypoll from Nandigama assembly constituency in Krishna district, took oath as the MLA on Wednesday.

Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao administered the oath to her.

Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Ravela Kishore Babu also attended the event.

In the bypoll, Sowmya won with a margin of 74,827 votes. The bypoll had to take place here due to the death of her father Prabhakar Rao, who won from here in the general elections.
