'Sonia grants freedom, independence to Telangana'

Union Minister K.H.Muniyappa said that only Congress party had to get the credit of formation of Telangana state.

Addressing a meeting in Hyderabad on Sunday, he said, “AICC President Sonia Gandhi granted freedom and independence to Telangana region.”

“As the Minister for Railways, I allotted Rs.15,000 crores to Telangana region,” said Muniyappa.

The minister said that they started new trains in Telangana along with developing new railway lines in the region.

He clarified that Congress party was committed for the development of Telangana region.

He exuded confidence that Congress party would win 20 Lok Sabha seats out of 28 in Karnataka.
