Son writes EAMCET exam as tribute to father who died hours before

On Thursday as hundreds of students readied themselves to write EAMCET entrance as the first step towards fulfilling their aspirations, one son wrote the exam as a tribute to his dead father.

Uday Kumar and his father, Raghevendra were travelling to the EAMCET exam centre in Nalgonda District when their two-wheeler was hit by lorry.

Raghavender, resident of Bhongir, died in the road accident near Mahatma Gandhi Viswa Vidayalayam in Nalgonda. Tragedy stuck when the father-son duo were on their way to Nagarjuna Government Degree College Centre.  Death was instantaneous for  Raghavendra who died in front of his shocked son.

Uday Kumar broke down next to his father's lifeless body.  This pathetic scene brought tears to the eyes of passerby. The police soon shifted the body to Nalgonda government hospital.

Initially, Uday refused to leave his father's side, willing to forfeit the all important entrance exams. However, soon his relatives intervened and coaxed him to write the exam. They added that the best form of tribute Uday could pay his father was by writing the exams.

Torn by immense grief and insurmountable loss, Uday appeared for the exams.
