Shock To TDP In Nandyal: EC Transfers DSP Gopala Krishna

Nandyal: In a jolt to the ruling TDP in the runup to the Nandyal bypolls, the Election commission late on Friday night transferred DSP Gopala Krishna after the YSRCP lodged a complaint over the raids conducted on the residences of YSRCP leaders.

YSRCP has lodged a complaint with EC against Gopala Krishna saying that the latter was prejudiced and was tacitly backing the TDP. The complaint was sent after the police conducted midnight raids on several YSRCP leaders on Friday. Responding to the complaint, the EC has appointed OSD Ravi Prakash as the new DSP.

The election commission has also appointed three observes to keep a watch on the political campaign during the Nandyal elections.
