Sensational Daylight Robbery In Jubilee Hills

Bike snatchers seem to be on the prowl in the twin cities. In a sensational case of daylight robbery, three miscreants snatched a bike, mobile phone and purse at knife-point after pushing a person off his stationary motorcycle in the posh Jubilee Hills area of the city.

Onlookers stood rooted to the spot on Road no. 10, Jubilee Hills even as three unidentified miscreants pushed Yadagiri, who was waiting outside a shop off his bike. His friend and co-worker went inside the shop, while Yadagiri was waiting, when all of a sudden, the assailants pounced on him.

The victim tried to resist their attempts and even threw his helmet at them, in vain. Police have registered a case and are examining the CCTV camera footage closely. It is learnt that the surveillance cameras tracked them all the way to Secunderabad after which their trail ran thin. Police however, are confident of nabbing all the offenders and pursuing the investigation vigorously.

Meanwhile, the passive role of motorists and two-wheeler riders who stood at the spot watching the incident unfold, without any attempt to be more pro-active, has come in for a lot of criticism.
