Sadak bandh successful, says Kodandaram

Political JAC chairman Prof Kodandaram said on Thursday that the sadak bandh organised to exert pressure for separate statehood for Telangana was successful.

He said the people voluntarily participated in the bandh and prevented vehicles moving on the highway. He announced that similar road blockade would be organised on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway soon. Meanwhile, the police registered cases against Kodandaram, Eetela Rajender, Jupalli Krishna Rao and others under Section 147, 148, 149, 348 (3D).
