
TDP leaders locked horns with TRS leaders in the Assembly on Tuesday over the Integrated Household Survey conducted by the TRS government.
TDP leader Revanth Reddy came down heavily on Telangana CM KCR for troubling the people of Telangana in the name of the survey.
"Public were confined themselves to their homes for over 12 hours due to the survey. On the day of the survey, buses were off the roads but wine shops remained opened," the TDP leader quipped.
He also found fault with KCR's daughter Kavitha for participating in the survey for two times. He questioned the government that what actions were taken against those who participated in the survey for two times.
" I waited at my home for the survey team to arrive. But none visited my home," Revanth Reddy said while criticizing the government for its lack of commitment to do anything meaningful for the state.
Responding to the TDP leader's allegations, finance minister Etela Rajedner said that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the survey.
He further said that the survey has has helped in reuniting couples who had divided for divorce. Many couples who applied for divorce or living separately came together following the survey, he added.
