Reprieve for actor Nagarjuna
The Andhra Pradesh High Court granted relief to actor Nagarjuna's N Convention Centre located at Madapur.
In an order directing that status quo ante be maintained on the N Convention Centre, it also asked the State Government to file its reply to the writ petition filed by Nagarjuna.
He challenged the action of the Irrigation and Revenue officials who surveyed the area around the convention centre without giving prior notice to him.
In the petition Nagarjuna contended that the survey was illegal and that he had constructed the function hall after taking licence from the GHMC. He had purchased the land way back in 1992.
Responding on the petition, Justice A Rajasheker Reddy of the High Court directed the State government to respond to the writ petition filed by him and adjourned for hearing on Tuesday.
