Police Rules Out Political Angle In Srinivas’ Murder

Nalgonda: Superintendent of Police DV Srinivas Rao, on Sunday, ruled out a political angle in the sensational murder of Bodupalli Srinivas - the husband of Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson Lakshmi.

Presenting eight accused persons at a media briefing, the SP said that the murder was a fallout of an argument between the deceased and the accused at a roadside eatery. Three more accused are absconding while Rambabu, Mallesh and Sharath have been named as prime accused, Srinivas Rao said.

Meanwhile, Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson Lakshmi strongly condemned the police investigation and subsequent conclusion in the murder case. She said the incident has all traces of a political murder and added that the police are trying to mislead the investigations in the killing of her husband. "A man of his stature would not get into arguments at a roadside eatery," Lakshmi pointed out.
