Pawan Kalyan’s Former Wife Renu Desai To Remarry For Children’s Sake 

Actor and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan's ex-wife and model-turned-actress Renu Desai expressed strong resentment over society’s discrimination against women in matters of marriage and remarriage. She was reacting to the trolling by Pawan fans after she expressed her desire to have a new life partner. In a hard-hitting reply on her Twitter handle, she said society has different sets of rules for man and woman. If a man can re-marry, why not a woman, she asked.

Renu Desai, who was divorced from Pawan Kalyan seven years ago, is currently residing in Pune with her son Akhira Nandan and daughter Aadhya. Recently, she had said in an interview that she was feeling lonely of late and revealed that her sister had to come and get her admitted into a hospital at 3 am at least on three occasions. Revealing this, she said she was increasingly feeling the need for a life partner. She said she wanted to remarry for the sake of her children, who need a father's guardianship and guidance.

"I just thought of getting married again after seven years of being alone, but people are sending me hate messages," she said. "This is not just about me. I am concerned about the societal tendency in general and men in particular," Renu said in her tweet and questioned, "Why should I remain single forever?"

Renu was Pawan's second wife. Pawan Kalyan was first married to Nandini and both were separated in 2007. Later, he married Renu. They were divorced in 2012, after which the actor married Anna Lezhneva in 2013.
