ORR between Tenali and Gannavaram

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Minister Narayana said that the government would form an outer ring road between Tenali and Gannavaram.

He said it will pass through Ibrahimpatnam and Vijayawada.

Speaking to reporters soon after the capital advisory meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday, the minister said that about 6 lakh acres of land is needed for this project.

“We will visit Singapore and Putra Jaya from September 22 to September 26 and in China from October 5 to October 9 to study the capital related issues,” said the minister.

Narayana said that they had also visited Chandigarh, Gandhinagar and Naya Raipur. He said the government would implement land pooling policy in all areas.

“We are expecting that an area of 12,500 acres is needed for the capital. We have already issued orders to Krishna and Guntur collectors to identify the lands for the formation of capital," he said and added that personally, he found Chandigarh model very appealing.
