No all-party meet on ‘T’ in near future: Shinde

It is

official now. Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said in New Delhi today that an all-party meeting on the contentious separate Telangana issue will not be held in near future.

Putting at rest the speculation that a decision on formation of Telangana is likely soon, Shinde said that there is absolutely no talk on the tangle issue in Delhi. As the Union Home Minister met President Pranab Mukherjee this morning, rumors began doing rounds in Hyderabad that the Home Minister closeted with the President only to focus on the Telangana issue.
Some news channels even went a step ahead and began airing the reviews and even attributed the latest meeting between Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the President to Telangana issue.  However, emerging from the Rashtrapathi Bhavan and setting aside all the rumors, the Union Home Minister made quite clear that he discussed with the president only the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir, where he made a visit recently. He also made it clear that the Telangana demand did not figure in their discussions.
