Nine Killed, 15 Injured As Two Buses Collide

As many as nine persons, including three children and two women, died on the spot in a deadly collision between a Tamil Nadu State Road Transport Corporation bus and a private bus near the pilgrimage town of Palani in Dindigul district on Sunday evening.

Another 15 persons suffered injuries, some of them critically. Sources said the toll could rise further. The mishap occurred when the two buses had a head-on collision near Moolachalam village. Most victims were passengers of a private bus coming from Palani to Dindigul.
