Responding to the fire mishap at Visakhapatnam fishing harbour, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed shock. He immediately spoke to the officials and enquired about the rescue operations.
CM Jagan directed Fisheries Minister Appala Raju to visit the accident site and told the officials to extend necessary financial support to the fishermen who lost their boats in the mishap.
According to news reports, a fire broke out in a fishing boat on Sunday midnight and it spread to the other boats. More than 30 boats were gutted in the fire. Minister Appala Raju rushed to the site following the CM's orders.
CM Jagan ordered an inquiry into the mishap. He asked the officials to conduct an unbiased probe and submit a report in detail.
