The makers of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film with Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled “Varanasi”, have dropped a powerful first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha, the film’s primary antagonist. The poster, which was unveiled earlier today, has taken social media by storm, showcasing Prithviraj in an intense, commanding avatar that instantly sets the tone for what’s to come in the much-awaited #SSMB29, also known by its working title #Globetrotter.

The striking poster features Prithviraj seated in a futuristic mechanical chair, exuding authority and menace, with robotic arms extending from the back, an unmistakable hint at the film’s high-tech, larger-than-life world. His piercing look, coupled with Rajamouli’s signature cinematic flair, has already sparked massive buzz among fans across India.

Touted as one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects, Globetrotter is said to blend elements of science fiction, adventure, and mythological undertones. While details about the plot remain under wraps, reports suggest that Mahesh Babu will be seen in an action-driven, globe-trotting role unlike anything he has done before. The collaboration also marks the first time Mahesh and Prithviraj will share the screen, adding to the excitement.

The film’s production team has been teasing multiple surprises in the days leading up to the official glimpse release on November 15, which has already become one of the most anticipated reveals of the year.

With Rajamouli at the helm and Prithviraj’s menacing portrayal of Kumbha making a thundering first impression, Globetrotter looks all set to redefine the scale of Indian cinema once again.
