Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Saturday ordered the CBI not to arrest the MP Avinash Reddy till the end of May. The vacation bench of the high court passed an interim order in the YS Viveka murder case.

The court heard the petition filed by Avinash Reddy seeking anticipatory bail. The court also heard the arguments put forth by the counsel of Suneetha Nareddy and the CBI and said it would deliver its final orders on May 31.

Earlier this week, the Supreme Court had expressed displeasure over the delay on the part of the Telangana High Court in deciding Avinash Reddy's anticipatory bail petition. The top court directed the high court to take up the hearing on his anticipatory bail plea on Thursday.

Avinash Reddy has appeared before the central investigation team at least five times this year. He could not comply with summons and appeared before the CBI on May 19 citing his mother’s illness who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kurnool city of Andhra Pradesh. The MP has been staying at the hospital.

Avinash Reddy has denied the allegations against him and his father and alleged that the CBI ignored several key facts in the case.
