
HYDERABAD: The Saidabad gang rape and murder case of the minor child at Singareni Colony in the city limits has triggered state-wide outrage and Tollywood celebrities have responded to the case.
The first celebrity to respond was Manchu Manoj who was the only Tollywood actor who went and met the victim’s parents and demanded that the accused be caught and the strictest punishment be meted to him.
Superstar Mahesh Babu also took to Twitter and gave out a strong message in support of justice for the victim.

Actor Nani also shared the Telangana State Police lookout message for the accused and posted two lines stating that the person who was roaming outside should not be out there.

Amid ongoing protests, Telangana Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy on Tuesday said that the accused in the case would be caught and on an emotional note said that ''we will do an ‘encounter’ and the accused won't be spared''.
The incident has triggered widespread protests by NGOs Civil Services Organisations who demanded justice and quick arrest of the culprit.
Hyderabad District Collector L Sharman, who had visited the spot on the next day, assured them that a house under the government's two-bedroom housing scheme for the poor, besides education facility to the other children of the victim's parents, would be provided. Immediate financial assistance of Rs 50,000 was given to the family by the government.
State Congress president and MP A Revanth Reddy, BJP's National Vice President D K Aruna and others, also visited the girl's family members on Monday. Revanth Reddy pointed out the error in IT Minister KT Rama Rao’s tweet that the accused was caught while sharing the lookout notice for the accused.Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Tuesday declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh to any person who gives information or clue leading to the arrest of the absconding accused.

Disclosing the identity of the victims in heinous crimes is described as an offence as per the laws, guidelines and Supreme Court Orders issued (in 2018 in case, Nipun Saxena & Ors. vs Union of India) to strictly not publish the details of the victims of rape as restricted u/s 228A of the IPC and upheld by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
