Now Pay to Use Restrooms at Hyderabad Metro Stations

Hyderabad: Get ready to shell out more money when you use a restroom at a metro rail station in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Metro Rail (MHR) has said using the loo at its metro stations is no longer free and the commuters have to pay a nominal usage fee for it. 

Starting June 3, 2023, the metro commuters will be charged Rs 5 for using the toilets and Rs 2 for urinals, the HMR officials said. They said the maintenance work of amenities has been handed over to Sulabh International. 
 
Currently, metro train services are available across three corridors – LB Nagar-Miyapur, Nagole-Rayadurgam and JBS-MGBS routes and the trains are ferrying approximately 4.4 lakh passengers daily across 69 kms and 57 stations in the city.
