Hyderabad: Days after Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy rubbished the reports of resigning from Telangana BJP, another party leader and former MP Konda Vishveswar Reddy has come forward to clarify things in the matter.

Addressing a press conference at the state BJP office here on Saturday, Visveswar Reddy said there is no party in the country more secular than the BJP. He also dismissed speculations that he was leaving the party. The former Chevella MP said the people have placed their trust in the saffron party while the same cannot be said about the ruling BRS party.

“Some people are hell bent on tarnishing the image of BJP by making wild claims that our party has entered into some sort of agreement with the BRS and therefore, the BJP is reluctant to put KCR’s daughter MLC Kavitha behind the bars. I would like to clarify that the case is being investigated by the probe agencies and our party cannot intervene in the matter except for making an appeal to expedite the investigation,” Vishveswar Reddy told reporters here.

The former MP from Chevella termed Congress as ‘most confused party’. He said the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a country-wide Bharat Jodo Yatra and then endorsed a separate legal code for Kashmir. The Congress party sacrifices its ideals for the sake of politics and this is the ‘real confusion’ and the grand old party is the ‘most confused party,’ he alleged.

Visveswar Reddy also clarified that he was not plotting to change the leadership in Telangana BJP and he went to New Delhi to discuss other issues with the senior BJP leader Amit Shah. However, a section of media misinterpreted my visit fuelling speculation that I was resigning from the party.

Former Lok Sabha member added that the TPCC chief Revanth Reddy and BJP are fighting for the common goal and he could do it better by joining the saffron party. He invited Revanth Reddy to BJP and said he will find all kinds of help here to take on chief minister K Chandrasekhar Reddy on the electoral ground.
