Hyderabad: Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) joined the social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram on the party’s 23rd foundation day on Saturday. This is the first foundation day of the party after losing power to Congress in Telangana.

KCR who had stayed away from social media for a long time finally made his debut on these platforms. His first post on X was a message wishing the party leaders, activists, supporters, and the people of Telangana on the foundation day. Accompanying the message was a photograph of himself from the time of the Telangana movement.

In a subsequent post, Rao congratulated and thanked the leaders, activists, and well-wishers for making the ongoing BRS bus yatra a resounding success. He urged them to continue the momentum and strive for a great victory in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

The BRS supremo has embarked on a 17-day bus yatra to revive the party's fortunes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. He is reaching out to the people as the leader of the opposition party. Moving forward, extensive publicity and outreach efforts will be undertaken through these newly adopted social media platforms. Rao is expected to share updates about the yatra and discuss political issues on these accounts.

On Saturday morning, Rao convened a meeting with top party leaders and workers. During the meeting, he provided strategic guidance aimed at securing victory in the parliamentary elections. Later in the evening, he participated in a roadshow and a corner meeting in support of the BRS candidate, RS Praveen Kumar in Nagarkurnool.
