Hyderabad: Traffic Curbs on Tank Bund Road on Sundays

With the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority's (HMDA) beautification work on Tank Bund luring people and the area becoming the city's favourite evening hangout, the Hyderabad City Police will shortly enforce traffic curbs on Tank Bund for the convenience of tourists. KT Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, directed the Hyderabad City Police to evaluate and prepare traffic restrictions on the historic Tank Bund, the city's most popular hangout area, during the evening hours every Sunday.

According to reports, the traffic police department will limit traffic movement on the Tank Bund on Sunday evening between 5 and 8 p.m. so that residents may enjoy the sight. On weekends, the location usually attracts families, individuals, and a significant number of tourists. Visitors are having difficulty crossing the street, and it is creating a nightmare for pedestrians.

The police department intends to block the road from Adarsh Nagar to Rani Gunj on both sides and redirect traffic to Necklace Road, currently known as PVNR Marg. Tank Bund is one of the city's oldest hangouts for people looking to unwind. The Tank Bund road is the most significant and safe urban zone for families to spend their leisure time due to its strategic position and natural beauty.
