Hyderabad: Financial Burden Drives Family to Suicide in Old Bowenpally
On Thursday, two members of a family committed suicide at their home in Old Bowenpally. The victims have been identified as Sneha (40) and her elder daughter Hansika (15). Sneha, her husband, and two kids allegedly drank poison to end their lives, according to authorities. While Sneha and her elder daughter died, the husband and one more daughter are undergoing treatment in a hospital.
According to sources, the family was depressed due to financial troubles and other domestic issues. Police officers rushed to the scene after getting information from neighbours and transported the mortal remains to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy. Senior police officials also paid a visit to the family's home in order to undertake investigations. The CLUES crew collected samples from the location.
Preliminary evidence shows that the family was depressed due to financial difficulties and took drastic measures. “We're also looking into other possibilities,” an official said. Bowenpally police have filed a report and are investigating.
