Hyderabad: Earlier it was a Swiggy delivery boy and now it's an Amazon delivery executive who jumped off a building after he was chased by a dog. The delivery executive who jumped off a residential building is battling for life in a hospital.

According to details, an Amazon delivery executive went to the third floor of an apartment building in the Panchavati Colony of Raidurg area of Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon to deliver the parcel. As he waited for the customer to open the door and receive his parcel, a huge dog, which was apparently not kept on leash, started running towards him. When the delivery boy saw the barking dog charging at him, he got scared and jumped off the third floor of the building in order to save himself from the ferocious canine.

The unnamed delivery boy sustained serious injuries and received multiple fractures due to the fall from the considerable height. He was immediately shifted to the hospital and his condition is stated to be critical.

In a similar incident, on January 16, 2023, Swiggy delivery boy Mohammed Rizwan (23) died after jumping off the third floor after the customer’s dog charged at him. He succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the NIMS hospital in the city.
