EC Announces Schedule for Bypolls to 2 MLC Seats in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India has released the election schedule for two MLC seats in Telangana on Thursday. These two seats under the MLA quota had fallen vacant after the resignations of P Kaushik Reddy and Kadiam Srihari. 

Both leaders resigned as MLCs after they got elected to the State Assembly in the recent elections. The terms of these two leaders were to expire on November 30, 2027. The Commission will release the notification for MLC by-poll on January 11 and the polling will be held on January 29. 

• Notification on January 11
• Last date for filing of nominations - January 18
• Scrutiny of nominations on January 19
• Last date for withdrawal of nominations - January 22
• Polling on January 29
