Covid Cases Spike Up In Telangana

The new Covid-19 JN-1 variant is spreading fast across the state. A total of 63 cases were identified on Wednesday. Of these, 53 cases were from Hyderabad. The Health Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha has instructed the health officials in the State to increase the speed of testing so that early detection and quarantine becomes possible. 

The health authorities, who have accentuated the testing in districts as well, have urged everyone to wear masks as the most important precaution. There is a possibility for a surge in COVID-19 cases because of New Year's Eve celebrations and other mass gatherings.
