Hyderabad: Amid row over who should inaugurate the new Parliament building, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP will meet on Thursday to decide on attending the opening ceremony on May 28 in New Delhi.

The ruling party in Telangana, which has named the new Secretariat after Dr BR Ambedkar, demanded the Centre to honour his contribution in nation building by naming it after the architect of the Constitution of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to throw open the new Parliament building on Sunday, however the Opposition parties have decided to boycott the ceremony. The MPs of Trinamool Congress, AAP, Congress and CPI have demanded that the new Parliament building should be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu, the first citizen of India, and not by Prime Minister Modi.
