Hyderabad: Miffed with Congress ad campaign ‘Maarpu Kavali, Congress Ravali’ targetting the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the ruling Bharath Rasthra Samithi (BRS) team lodged a complaint with the Election Commission on Monday.

The BRS Legal team met the Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj and filed a complaint against the Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy for allegedly using provocative language in his election campaign and mocking the BRS party through its recently launched digital ad campaign. The legal team submitted a memorandum to the CEO and demanded an immediate  ban on the Congress digital ads. They have also sought action against Revanth Reddy for giving speeches with an alleged intention to incite the people against the party.

BRS General Secretary Soma Bharath Kumar told reporters that the Congress is hatching a plan to allegedly soil the green lands of Telangana with bloodshed. He said Revanth Reddy is giving provocative speeches during the election campaign. Highlighting the recent attacks on BRS leaders in Dubbaka and Achampet, Soma Bharath said the Congress leader did not show any sympathy to the victims. The BRS leader added that during the 10 years of KCR rule, Telangana did not witness any violence.
