Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Etela Rajender strongly condemned the arrests of Telangana state BJP president Bandi Sanjay and MLA Raja Singh. He demanded that they should be released soon. He warned the Telangana government that they cannot be stopped by filing cases against BJP leaders and arresting the leaders. He also demanded the release of 29 people who were arrested and kept in Banjara Hills Police Station.

He said that the police should explain the reasons behind the arrest of Bandi Sanjay and why they have stopped his padayatra.

DK Aruna also said that KCR's government is surely going to pay the price for all the deeds that it is doing in the state and further stated that the police have become puppets in the hands of the government.

Bandi Sanjay was arrested on Tuesday as he called for state-wide protests against the arrest of his party workers who were protesting against Kavitha’s alleged involvement in the alleged liquor scam.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy also strongly condemned the arrest of Bandi Sanjay. He said that the Telangana government is trying to stop the padayatra of Bandi Sanjay as KCR's family is in fear of losing power. He said that KCR is desperate to make KTR as chief minister. He also said that the ruling government is spreading false information about the government.
