
The Telangana government has already announced on providing investment support under Rythu Bandhu scheme to over 63.25 lakh farmers from June 15. The government will deposit an amount of Rs 7,508.78 crore into the bank accounts of eligible farmers between June 15 and 20.
According to the officials, it is learned that when compared to Yasangi season this year, more than 2.81 lakh farmers became eligible for the Rythu Bandhu assistance as 66,311 acres were newly brought under cultivation.
In the financial year 2020-21, the state government had spent Rs 14,656 crore while it allocated Rs 14,800 crore in the budget 2021-22 to cater to the needs of farmers.

For the first time, farmers who are beneficiaries of Rythu Bandhu scheme must hand over copies of their pattadar passbook, Aadhaar card, and bank account details to the local Agricultural Extension Officer (AEO)s. Farmers having accounts in banks whose IFSC codes have been changed following the merger of banks should meet the local AEOs.
