Allu Arjun's father-in-law meets CM Revanth Reddy, likely to join Congress

Allu Arjun's father-in-law and businessman Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy has reportedly met Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. If reports are anything to go by, Chandrasekhar Reddy is likely to join the Congress party.

Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, a former Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) member, expressed his disappointment with the leadership of BRS party, particularly after being overlooked for a significant election ticket. His meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy indicated a shift in his political allegiance towards the Congress party, aligning with his long-term goals.

Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy wants to contest the Malkajgiri parliamentary seat from the Congress party. However, there is stiff competition within the Congress party for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat. It can be noted that Revanth Reddy had represented the Malkajgiri Parliament earlier.

Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, who owns educational institutions, served as a member of the Congress party before 2014. He emphasized his participation in the youth wing during his initial years.

The Congress party's strategic decision to bring Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy into the fold is seen as an attempt to leverage his relationship with popular actor Allu Arjun, who has a broad appeal. The Congress intends to improve its chances in the Lok Sabha elections by capitalising on his son-in-law Allu Arjun's pan-India stardom. However, official confirmation is still awaited.
