3 Holidays Declared in Hyderabad for Jubilee Hills By-Election: Nov 10, 11, 14

Ahead of the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, the Telangana government has announced three paid holidays in connection with the polling and counting process.
According to official orders, November 10, 11, and 14 have been designated as paid holidays — marking the day before polling, the polling day, and the counting day respectively.
Additionally, November 11, the day of polling, will be a general holiday for all government offices and educational institutions located within the Jubilee Hills constituency. The government has also approved special casual leave for state employees who are registered voters in the constituency to enable them to cast their votes.
The by-election was necessitated by the demise of sitting BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath earlier this year. The contest is shaping up to be a three-cornered fight between BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, wife of the late legislator, Congress nominee Naveen Yadav, and BJP’s Lanka Deepak Reddy, who contested unsuccessfully in 2023. The AIMIM has extended its support to the Congress candidate.
The Election Commission has set November 11 as the polling date and November 14 for counting of votes. Tight security measures and logistical arrangements are being made to ensure smooth conduct of the bypoll.
