In response to a recent directive from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio has launched two new recharge plans tailored specifically for users who require only voice calls and SMS services, without any data. These new offerings are perfect for users with feature phones or those who do not need mobile data, providing an affordable option for basic telecom services.
Jio’s New Recharge Plans: ₹458 for 84 Days & ₹1,958 for 365 Days
₹458 Plan (84 Days Validity): For ₹458, Jio users will enjoy 84 days of validity, with unlimited voice calls and 1,000 free SMS messages. In addition, users will get complimentary access to Jio Cinema, Jio TV, and other Jio apps, providing added value to the plan.
₹1,958 Plan (365 Days Validity): Jio’s ₹1,958 plan offers an entire year of validity (365 days), with unlimited voice calls and 3,600 free SMS messages. Similar to the ₹458 plan, users also gain free access to Jio Cinema, Jio TV, and other Jio apps, making it a comprehensive option for long-term voice and SMS needs.
Discontinuation of Older Plans
Along with these new introductions, Jio has also discontinued two older recharge plans. The ₹479 plan, which offered 84 days of validity and 6GB of data, as well as the ₹1,899 plan, which provided 336 days of validity and 24GB of data, are no longer available to customers.
These new plans align with the growing demand for affordable options that prioritize voice calls and SMS, ensuring Jio continues to cater to a diverse range of user needs.
