Pakistan's batsmen did not waste any time, and they began smashing boundaries from the first ball. They set a 177 run target for Australian batters to enter the finals.

After a 71-run stand between Pakistan's openers, Adam Zampa has handed Australia the first breakthrough in the current T20 World Cup's second semifinal. The opening ten overs have been controlled by Babar and Rizwan, who have hit boundaries at regular intervals. The opening pair has been on fire since their first match of the competition when they crushed arch-rivals India by ten wickets.

Meanwhile, Babar has eclipsed England's Jos Buttler to become the tournament's leading run-scorer.

Australia's bowling was inconsistent, and they believe they leaked 15-20 more than they would have wanted. Their spinners performed admirably.

Zampa and Maxwell both hit great lines to limit one of the stronger spin-playing teams. The 177 target is not impossible, but Australia would undoubtedly be put under pressure.
