FIFA World Cup 2022: Argentina Prize Money Highest Ever

Argentina won the FIFA World Cup 2022 title on penalties, defeating France 4-2 after a thrilling 3-3 tie in the final on Sunday, December 18 at Lusail. Messi scored twice in the final to help his team defeat the defending champions and win the FIFA World Cup 2022 for the first time. Kylian Mbappe was the hero of the France team. He scored three goals in the final match and made the match thrilling. However, except for Mbappe, other players failed to score, resulting in a loss against Argentina.

Argentina will take home $42 million in prize money, which is approximately Rs 344 crore. It is the most money ever granted in FIFA World Cup history. Apart from the prize money obtained as the winning team of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Argentina and every other participating team in Qatar got a sum of $1.5 million as part of the preparation.
