Karnataka Govt Orders Theatres to Shut Down, Tight Bandobast in Bengaluru

The Karnataka Government has ordered a shut down of all the theatres across the state following the death news of Sandalwood Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar. 

While doctors or the family members had not confirmed the news, the first hint came when Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was seen at the hospital.  Now, it has been confirmed that Puneeth Rajkumar is no more. The 46 year old actor is survived by wife and two daughters. One of the daughters lives in the US. The final rites of the actor will be done only after her arrival, said a member close to the family.

Bengaluru Police commissioner held an emergency meeting and called for tight security arrangements across the state.  The Karnataka police has put up heavy barricades across Bengaluru fearing law and order situation. 

Fans of Puneeth Rajkumar are also inconsolable and have rushed to Vikram Hospital wanting to have one last glimpse of their matinee idol.
