Watch Video: Cop Shoots Man For Threatening Locals With Knife in Karnataka

A man was shot by the police in Kalaburagi after he threatened to attack the locals with a knife. 

A man named Jaffer who was threatening people with a knife was shot in the feet and injured by police to overpower him.

The video of the entire episode has gone viral and shared widely on social media. 

"A miscreant with a knife was trying to attack the public near the supermarket. When police tried to stop and detain him, he even attacked our police personnel. In self defence and for the safety of the public, police opened fire at the miscreant," said Chethan R, Kalaburagi City Police Commissioner.
