
A series of bank holidays is due in different states across the country in the month of November 2025. According to the holiday list released by the Reserve Bank of India, the banks will be closed on several occasions due to festivals, state-specific celebrations, and elections. As many as two states will declare a bank holiday on November 6, 2025: Bihar and Meghalaya.
Bihar Assembly Elections: Bank Holiday on November 6
Banks in Bihar will remain closed on November 6, 2025, due to the Assembly General Elections. The state government has declared a holiday to facilitate the voting process as well as enable bank employees to participate in election-related activities. This move will go a long way in ensuring a smooth and efficient process of the election.
Nongkrem Dance Festival: Meghalaya
In Meghalaya, the Nongkrem Dance Festival, which is a part of the cultural heritage in the state showcasing the rich traditions and customs of the Khasi tribe, will be celebrated on November 6, 2025. The festival will also include traditional dances and rituals that denote the importance of harvest and prosperity.

Also, banks will be closed on every Sunday during the month that falls on November 2, November 9, November 16, November 23, and November 30. Banks will also remain shut on the fourth Saturday of November, on November 22.
