TS Elections: Political Parties Try To Lure Voters

The Telangana Assembly elections will be held tomorrow i.e. on November 30, 2023. The candidates campaigned in their respective constituencies with gusto for weeks on end. 

As the campaign ended, the candidates are reportedly busy luring voters. Several media reports have it that some candidates and their followers have distributed about Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 per vote to the voters. In some areas, some political parties gave about Rs 1,000 per vote, few other parties gave Rs 500 per vote. 

Agents of different political parties knocked on the doors of people in different areas, made inquiries, gave slips, distributed cash and saved their information in their data system. However, the Election Commission is also taking strict actions and ensuring to stop the cash distribution and gifts distribution for votes. It appealed to voters to avoid any such malpractices by the candidates and it asked the people to inform the EC.

The Telangana election results will be declared on December 3, 2023.
