Hyderabad Weather Alert: Thunderstorms Expected This Afternoon

Weather conditions in the city may play a role in today’s Indian Premier League match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. According to a latest update shared by the Telangana Weatherman on social media platform X, there is a possibility of rain during the afternoon and early evening hours.

The forecast suggests that light to moderate showers could occur before the match begins, potentially impacting pre-match conditions. However, the situation is expected to improve as the evening progresses, with clearer skies likely after 8:00–9:00 PM. The extent of disruption, if any, may depend on how quickly water drains from the ground following rainfall.

In Hyderabad, scattered thunderstorms are expected between the afternoon and late evening, bringing temporary relief from the heat but also raising concerns for outdoor plans.

Other parts of Telangana are also likely to experience varied weather activity. Northern districts such as Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, and Mancherial may witness thunderstorms from morning to afternoon.

Meanwhile, districts including Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Siddipet, Jangaon, Rangareddy, and Mahabubabad could see similar conditions from afternoon into the night hours. Other regions in the state might experience only isolated showers.

Residents and cricket fans are advised to stay updated with weather alerts and plan accordingly, especially those heading to the stadium for the evening match.
