Tillu Square: Anupama Parameswaran Reacts to Lip Lock Scene Controversy

Malayali actress Anupama Parameswaran, who is known for her girl-next-door looks, is facing criticism for a kissing scene in her recent hit Telugu film Tillu Square.

Many are questioning the Malayali for shedding her inhibitions for a glamorous role in a Tollywood movie. The bold scene with the co-actor Siddu Jonnalagadda has garnered mixed reactions from fans, with some surprised and others critical.

Despite her successful transition from the 2015 Malayalam film Premam to popular Tamil movies like Kodi, Thalli Pogathey, and Siren, some viewers have expressed shock at Parameswaran's departure from her usual wholesome roles.

In a recent interview, Parameswaran responded sharply to the criticism, stating that she has been unfairly criticised for doing a lip lock scene as if she had done something wrong. She admitted that she had a strict policy of no kissing and bold scenes when she was 18 years old, but as an actress, she believes that one must be mature enough to take on scenes required by the story, and that there is nothing wrong with doing a lip lock scene with a co-actor.

Parameswaran also revealed that she had grown bored of doing the same stereotypical roles and felt the need to explore different characters. She emphasised that her role in Tillu Square should be appreciated or criticised only after people have watched the film, and that it is unfair to criticise it without seeing it first.
