Tollywood star Samantha has added another prestigious accolade to her name as she completed 15 successful years in the film industry. She was recently honored with the Hall of Fame award at a grand event in Chennai, recognizing her remarkable contributions to cinema. Following the event, Samantha shared fascinating insights about her debut film in an exclusive interview.

A Nostalgic Look at Her Debut

Samantha stepped into the world of cinema with the Telugu classic Ye Maaya Chesave, where she starred alongside Akkineni Naga Chaitanya. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the romantic drama remains a fan favorite and played a pivotal role in shaping her career.

During the interview, Samantha expressed her deep emotional connection with the film, stating that every single shot is etched in her memory. She also opened up about the challenges she faced in the early days of her career. The lack of proper guidance, she admitted, resulted in her missing out on several promising projects. Additionally, she revealed that her initial struggles with Tamil fluency posed significant hurdles.

The Unreleased First Film

Interestingly, before Ye Maaya Chesave, Samantha had worked on Moscowin Kaveri (2010) alongside Rahul Ravindran. Although it was her first film to be shot, it was released later, making Ye Maaya Chesave her official debut. She emphasized that Ye Maaya Chesave holds a special place in her heart, particularly recalling the scene where her character, Jessie, meets Karthik for the first time. She described working with Gautham Menon as a phenomenal experience that she cherishes to this day.

A Glittering Career in Tollywood

Since her debut, Samantha has cemented her place as one of Tollywood’s most successful actresses, delivering blockbusters such as Brindavanam (Jr. NTR), Dookudu (Mahesh Babu), Eega, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and Attarintiki Daredi.

Currently, Samantha is not involved in any Telugu projects. Her last Tollywood appearance was in Kushi alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Apart from films, she has also made her mark in the digital space with the web series Citadel: Honey Bunny, which premiered last year.

As Samantha continues to explore new horizons in her career, her journey remains an inspiration to aspiring actors in the industry.
