HYBE’s Efforts in Taking Care of their Trainees

25 May, 2023 10:57 IST|Sakshi Post

The health of trainees is HYBE's primary priority in the tough world of K-Pop, according to Shin Seon Jeong, the head of T&D. The organisation has put in place a number of procedures to guarantee the mental health and general well-being of its trainees in light of the mental challenges that aspiring idols must undergo. The HYBE head of Training & Development recently discussed the organisation's proactive strategy for assisting their trainees during trying situations.

Shin noted that trainees frequently feel a great deal of mental stress, especially as a result of uncertainty about their future prospects and self-doubt about their abilities. HYBE is aware of these difficulties and actively attempts to support students in handling them.

HYBE gives trainees prolonged breaks, often known as "hiatuses," when they require them, giving them the opportunity to rest and prioritise their mental health. The organisation also provides trainees with access to expert counselling services so they may get assistance and direction when things get tough. By emphasising the value of mental health, HYBE makes sure that their learners have access to the support and resources that they need.

By hiring a professional psychiatrist to conduct weekly therapy sessions with trainees, HYBE adopts a proactive approach to mental health. In these meetings, trainees can communicate their ideas, feelings, and worries in a private, confidential setting while getting professional advice and support.

In addition to offering professional services, HYBE emphasises  on creating a welcoming environment for its trainees. Trainees are encouraged to express their worries and ask for advice from staff members and mentors who have an understanding of the difficulties they are facing through open lines of communication. This approach encourages a sense of belonging and gives trainees a strong support system as they progress through their training.

The organisation tries to guarantee that trainees have the assistance they need to overcome mental stresses and prosper in their goal of becoming successful artists by offering prolonged breaks, access to counselling services, and frequent therapy sessions. No organisation is perfect, but HYBE's dedication to providing a welcoming environment for trainees is a step in the right direction for promoting their wellbeing in the competitive K-pop industry.
